Ever wonder what the PRO'S use
when they see a COBIA lazing along? Ever wonder what those
SAME PRO'S use when they see a Ray or Turtle or weedline or
Structure that has COBIA underneath?
Well, here it is. COBIA KANDY.
I've been building and testing this rig for far too long.
It's been a secret held by the by the sharpies for far too
long. Now it's AVAILABLE to EVERYONE.
Take a close look at the head:
It’s a 1 ounce head, 1 1/2 inches
long. It has a MUSTAD 34184D 2x strong hook in 7/0 size,.
The eye sits ATOP of the CUSTOM made head. Easy to rig and
PROTECTS YOUR LINE.
I have DESIGNED and BUILT this
HEAD. It has a flat topped surface that tapers down in a
great curve thru it's sides to a FULL drop down BELLY that
gives the Eel its HOT...HOT...HOT...ACTION. Now add in the
CHARTREUSE/GREEN paint scheme that matches the Eel and
you’re in business.
The whole rig is 9 1/2 inches
long. It casts like a bullet, straight and true.
It can be speed retrieved. It can be
SSSLLLOOOWWWLLLYYY retrieved. It can be jigged
right in front of a COBIA. It can be made to
slip , slide , wobble , streak in front of a COBIA.
I've INCLUDED an EXTRA EEL to
keep you fishing.when the bite is HOT...HOT...HOT... . |

Now, I've made this rig up in different
colors, a GREEN/CHARTREUSE BELLY and a BLACK/GREEN BELLY. Why the
different color combinations, you ask?
Different water conditions and wind and
weather conditions DEMAND a change in EEL/HEAD colors. GREEN/CHARTRUSE
BELLY is usually used in clear water on BRIGHT CLEAR DAYS with
MODERATE winds.
BLACK/GREEN BELLY color is usually used
on O/cast days, at sunrise and sunset and at NIGHT (lower light
conditions). Excellent when the waters have been roiled after a
storm or long wind periods.
Each of the above color combination comes
with a COLOR MATCHING HEAD.
HINT...HINT...HINT... Speed retrieve,
SSSLLLOOOWWW retrieve, JIGGED retrieve, from top water to bottom
bouncing, this rig will do it for you.
