It’s TUNA - WAHOO - MAHI - MARLIN TIME out on the OCEAN. You're thinking of putting out that one BIG lure that will attract all those fish right to your spread.    RRRIIIGGGHHHTTTTTTTTTTT !!!!!!!!!!
You have put out all the medium lures and are wondering what next?  What do you put out and where do you put it?MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM   Now is the time for this flashy monster catcher

  • Take a special 8/0 XX American made hook in DURALIN finish to keep it’s edge SHARPER, LONGER. To keep this hook back where it belongs I add red TRI-BEADS (think bleeding fish).  I do this to STIFFEN the whole lure and keep the hook where it belongs, back in the last part of the skirt.   Add a 8+ foot of heavy duty mono and you’re almost there.
  • Add color coordinated POWDER COATED HOOKS to hide the flash, make the hook an integral part of the complete presentation, add to the back and forth action of the lure and help protect the hook from rust.
  • Three (3) T’ZERs in MATCHING  COLORED double skirts with HUGE EYES to make this rig really come alive.  It just reeks of fishy…fishy…fishy, come and try and get me, fishy. These 4,3/4 inch double skirts with sparkles just come alive in the water.
  • Now I use the best TRI BEADS, NOT those round BEADS to hold this lure in place. The TRI BEADS stiffen the lure and the stiff-rigged hook keeps this lure RUNNING STRAIGHT and true.
  • By the way, all of the above is on 8+ feet of 150 pound test Double Strength clear leader.

HINT…HINT…HINT… NEVER , NEVER use a short leader. Too many times that fish of a LIFETIME makes a last run and dives down UNDER the boat OR WORSE , in a heavy sea, twists and rubs the leader on the boat and breaks off.

WHERE TO PUT IT:

1). Long corner back in the 3rd or 4th wake wave.  Run this right in the MIDDLE of the wake wave, NOT on the front or rear wave shoulder.  If you run it on a shoulder, than you’re fishing for MARLIN.
2). BEHIND and BELOW (8 feet back) a SPREADER bar. In that spot, the trailing predators who are not quite sure if they want them, will see it and WON’T TURN AWAY, as it’s too good a chance at a free meal.
3). Off a long rigger.   HINT…HINT…HINT… Keep it below the tip of the rigger. That way the motion of the rigger will make it move in long slow surges.
4). Back in the 5th wake wave.  Back there it looks like a small prey group trying to get back to the main school and the predator (YOUR LURE) can’t watch it’s own tail.

This sweetheart was made to RUN ‘N GUN. You will COVER more ocean, convincing MORE Tuna and MAHI to come  running.

Add a TUNA BIRD with a TURBO TAIL back in your wake where your propwash bubbles turn to Champagne size to help attract those following gamefish.   With all that going for you, the fish don’t really stand much of a chance. The charter and commercial guys fish this as an early morning straight running lure. Why not you?

EXTRA HELP.   I STIFF RIG this lure for you free of charge to make your lure work even better.

What colors should you use?

LEMON/LIME  "IS" the color of a MAHI at ease,  just lounging along and NOT PAYING ATTENTION to    anything.  LOOK at the POURED GREEN HEAD with   BRIGHT GOLD IRIDESCENT EYES.  If that doesn’t TURN on ANY predator, then not much else will!
I’ve added bright Yellow and Green OUTER SKIRT with IMBEDDED sparkles. That way the sparkles make that outer skirt FLASH and SPLASH that VIBRANT COLOR down INTO the DEPTHS, attracting all those predators UP from the depths. This outer skirt make the Green and Yellow more DISTINCTIVE.  All the ABOVE in 12 INCHES overall of tough plastic skirting.
Now, I’ve put that Chartreuse INNER SKIRT where it belongs, to show off all that color in the OUTER SKIRT. The SPARKLES of the INNER SKIRT flashes its color down into the depths and stops this lure from being HIDDEN by the bright sea surface. YOUWZA !!!!!!!!  This color combination is DEADLY from the Northern Canyons down thru the CARIBBEAN for all of the TUNA/MAHI/MARLIN  that swim.

BLUE/WHITE   ENOUGH…ENOUGH…ENOUGH already! You know as well as I do, that when the all the TUNA and MAHI are trashing the oceans surface,  trying to smash FLEEING BALLYHOO, YOU…YOU… YOU. .. NEED this rig IN YOUR SPREAD!
This LURE will get their ATTENTION AWAY from those FLEEING BALLY’S and CONCENTRATING on YOUR BALLY LURE.  HOW? By SEEING THIS LURE RUNNING ALONG THE SEAS SURFACE…WITHOUT FLYING OUT OF THEIR SIGHT.MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.  Since their attention is NOW riveted on YOUR LURE, THRASHING and TRASHING the surface, AND, obviously INCAPABLE of GETTING AWAY, they will CRASH  and SMASH this lure without any inhibitions at all. GOBBLE...GOBBLE...GOBBLE !!!!!
It’s 12 inches of DARK BLUE outer skirt that has JUST enough SPARKLES imbedded in the skirt to reflect back and IMITATE a HURT fish loosing some of its scales. YOUWZA!   The inner WHITE skirt has LOTS MORE PERMANENT SPARKLES. Why? ‘Cause that keeps the fish’s attention on the full body of the lure twisting and turning, trying to get away from that PREDATOR behind it.
All this on a BLUE HEAD that’s connected by HEAVY MONO that has three (3) DOUBLE SKIRTED T’ZERS out in front of your HOOKLURE. These T’ZERS are color matched to the bait found at sea.
If ANY TUNA, MARLIN,  MAHI or ANY PELAGIC, eats a BALLY , then this ones for you and I do mean it's for YOU. !!!!!!!!!

Black/pink   You know all about the excitement when the WAHOO are around. Screaming reels, cutoff lures, burnt out drags. Yep, they're here alright.
How to get ‘em? Read below:
Heavy Duty hand poured PURPLE resin head
12 inches of BLACK over PINK HEAVY DUTY skirts.
Red TRI BEADS that keep your hook in the perfect strike zone.

Three(3) DOUBLE SKIRTED T’ZERS in Purple/Black with UV and Pink, over a faceted bead and egg sinker which enhances their action.
HINT…HINT…HINT… I would place this rig in one or two places:
Off the right or left corner . and if you can, down as low as you can get it on a DOWNRIGGER.
Back …back…back in the 5th , 6th wake wave. Even a trolling weight can be used too.

You can pull this rig at higher speed and IT WILL CATCH!
This sweetheart was made to RUN ‘N GUN those WAHOO that stay below your spread at lower trolling speeds.
